COVID VACCINATION UPDATE 11.05.21
As reported by the BBC:
England’s NHS app will be available to use as a vaccine passport from Monday, the government has said - but only for those who have had both doses of the jab.
A paper version will also be available - by calling 119 but not through a GP.
Both will be available from Monday, 17 May, when the ban on foreign travel is eased.
The NHS app is separate to the NHS Covid-19 app, which is used for contact tracing.
There is now a phone number that patients can call if they have enquiries regarding the Covid Vaccination Programme which is 0800 433 4545 which is open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday.

COVID VACCINATIONS INVITATIONS
Covid-19 vaccination update 22 March 2021
We are delighted to report that we have now managed to invite every patient who fall into Cohorts 1 – 6 and the uptake for the vaccine has been very encouraging. Data published by NHS England today shows that 613,879 vaccinations had been delivered across Sussex by Sunday 7 March.
We are aware that NHS England have been writing or emailing patients in cohorts 7 & 8 (all people age 60 or older and people over 55) inviting them to one of the mass vaccination centres. In addition, we as a practice are currently inviting patients in cohort 9 (people over 50) to attend our PCN vaccination site based in Crowborough.
In short, all patients aged over 50 should have received an invite from either us or NHS England. Our invites are to attend our PCN site in Crowborough and the NHSE invites are to attend one of the mass vaccination centres. However, if you have already booked an appointment through one of the other sites then you are unable to cancel and re-book through us.
Please be advised that we are currently waiting for advice from our PCN, CCG and NHSE regarding the 2nd vaccination programme, please do not call the practice for advice on this, we will contact all patients as we did with the 1st vaccine, either by phone or text message.
This programme has been a massive undertaking and we would like to pay thanks to our staff for their continuous hard work and support. In addition, we would like to like to thank our PCN vaccination site “Saxonbury House Surgery” in Crowborough for the incredible work they have put in ensuring our community are vaccinated.
Please note face coverings are now mandatory when attending an appointment at either of our Surgeries. We would be grateful if patients could supply their own face covering in order to preserve our vital PPE stocks.
Birth Registration Process
In light of parts of East Sussex being put into Tier 4 restrictions yesterday (20 December) and the need for us to be ready to meet the challenge of any possible increase in deaths in the coming weeks, we have had to temporarily withdraw birth registration appointments at the current time.

Repeat Prescription Telephone Ordering Service
We are now offering a new telephone prescription ordering service in conjunction with the CCG Medicines Management team, to order your repeat prescription over the telephone please contact 0808 1647678 Mon-Fri 8.00am - 4.00pm.
Please note this ordering service can be used for repeat medication only.
Text Messaging Service – We now offer a text messaging appointment reminder service. There is also the ability for you to cancel your appointment via text message. Look out for the prompts within your reminders. We hope that this service will not only help patients but it will also reduce non-attenders and free up more appointments.Please ensure we have your up to date mobile telephone number on record.
