Flu Jabs and Covid Booster Jab News


You will receive either a call, letter or text from the surgery to book you in if you are eligible for your Flu Jab. Due to supply issues we are prioritising our patients over 65 and those on our at risk registers. 

Appointments are available to book on line using Patient Access. Please do not book unless you have received contact from the surgery. 

We will be carrying out Flu Clinics at Uplands School with smaller clinics in Wadhurst and Ticehurst Surgeries. 

COVID Booster jabs:

All our COVID vaccinations will take place at the Ticehurst Pharmacy Vaccination site at:

On the morning of Monday 20 September, the National Booking Service ( and 119) will go live allowing eligible people to book their Covid-19 booster vaccine appointments in vaccine sites that are on the NBS.

Text messages and letters from the COVID vaccination service will start to be sent out to eligible people from the morning of Monday 20 September and throughout next week in a phased way.

As this will be phased, people will only be able to book once they are invited. For people that aren’t invited to book on NBS straight away, or where they haven’t been contacted and booked through another service, they will be contacted by the COVID vaccination service and able to book in the near future.

Please do not ring the surgery regarding your COVID vaccination booking. You can access this through Patient Access, the NHS App or call 119.

Please note, we will ask visitors to both Wadhurst and Ticehurst Surgeries to continue wearing face coverings to protect our Staff and Patients until further notice.

We would ask that you remain patient with our staff during this time.  With cases rising again, there are instances where staff members are needing to work remotely at short notice due to school bubble closures or if they have been identified as an isolation contact.



The practice(s) will not tolerate any verbal or physical abuse and/or intimidation against our staff.

In the event of violent or aggressive behaviour the practice(s) reserves the right to remove the offender from the practice list.

The practice will not tolerate racial, gender or religious prejudice.

All members of the practice will endeavour to treat patients with respect and deal with problems or requests as swiftly and efficiently as possible.

Repeat Prescription Telephone Ordering Service

We are now offering a new telephone prescription ordering service in conjunction with the CCG Medicines Management team, to order your repeat prescription over the telephone please contact 0808 1647678 Mon-Fri 8.00am - 4.00pm.

Please note this ordering service can be used for repeat medication only.

Text Messaging Service – We now offer a text messaging appointment reminder service. There is also the ability for you to cancel your appointment via text message. Look out for the prompts within your reminders. We hope that this service will not only help patients but it will also reduce non-attenders and free up more appointments.Please ensure we have your up to date mobile telephone number on record.

If you do not want information that identifies you to be shared outside the practice, for purposes beyond your direct care, you can register a ‘Type 1 Opt-Out’. This prevents your personal confidential information from being used other than in particular circumstances required by law, such as a public health emergency like an outbreak of a pandemic disease.

If you do not want your confidential patient information to be used for research and planning, you can opt out of this. If you do opt out, there are some specific situations where your data may still be used. Data that does not identify you may still also be used. Your confidential patient information will still be used to support your individual care. Any preference you set using this service will not change this.

Please see information below, this type of Opt-out needs to be lodged directly with NHS Digital.  We cannot lodge Type 2 opt-outs at the Surgery.
